Thoroughbred Charities of America has announced that the planning and preparations for the 30th Annual Stallion Season Auction are underway. The auction, on Wednesday, January 8 – Sunday, January 12, is the largest annual fundraiser for the nonprofit organization.

“2020 marks the 30th anniversary of TCA and our Stallion Season Auction,” said Erin Crady, executive director of TCA. “The auction is TCA’s largest annual fundraiser and directly impacts the funding we have available for our approved charities. There are a variety of ways to support the auction, including the donation of stallion seasons, the donation of non-season items for the silent auction, sponsorships, program advertising, and ticket purchases.”

The fundraiser opens with an online auction of stallion seasons beginning at 9 am on Wednesday, January 8, and continues through 5 pm EST on Friday, January 10.

More than 100 seasons will be available for online bidding, including Liam’s Map, Palace Malice, More Than Ready, and Gun Runner.

Interested bidders may register to bid on starquine.com or tca.org. The majority of the seasons will sell during the online auction. However a few select seasons, including Audible, Blame, Constitution, Street Sense and Vino Rosso, will be sold in the live ‘Tis the Seasons Celebration on Sunday, January 12, at Distillery Square in Lexington, Kentucky.

Bidders or their authorized agents may bid on the select seasons by attending the live auction in person or they may contact TCA to bid by phone. Non-season items, including experiences, services and memorabilia, will also be offered and will be available for online bidding.

For the fifth consecutive year, LNJ Foxwoods, the New York-based racing stable of Larry, Nanci and Jaime Roth, has signed on as the top sponsor of the Stallion Season Auction. Other sponsors are: Rosenberg Thoroughbred Consulting, Limestone Bank, Equine Medical Associates, HorseCo, Fasig-Tipton, Blood-Horse, Paulick Report, L.V. Harkness, and Thoroughbred Daily News.
