Juddmonte has announced 2025 mating plans for its high-profile broodmare team, led by their two homebred Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winners Enable and Bluestocking.
Both Arc winners now reside within the organisation’s European broodmare band at Banstead Manor Stud. Enable, a two-time Arc winner, will travel across the Channel for a visit to Siyouni, whilst Bluestocking, last year’s European champion older mare, will commence her stud career with a visit to Dubawi.
The 2025 breeding season will also welcome a high-class lineup of newly retired maiden mares. Dual G1 winner Whitebeam, G2 winner and Classic-placed Matilda Picotte, G3-winning Dubawi filly Ottery, and Listed-winning Coppice (a sister to Calyx) will all visit Frankel.
In addition to these exceptional mares, Frankel’s 2025 book includes a selection of Group winners and producers, such as Agave, Bird Flown, Brostaigh, Juliet Sierra, Nay Lady Nay, Proviso, Repose, Shutter Speed, Special Duty, Teona, Viadera, Zarinsk and Zatsfine.
Meanwhile, Kingman’s book will feature Group-winning newcomers Time Lock – who hails from the same family as promising Kingman colt Cosmic Year – and Wendla, a daughter of Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf winner Intercontinental.
He will also receive other notable mares such as Dandhu, Helleborine (dam of Calyx), Hot Snap (dam of the promising Kingman filly Swelter), Isabella Giles and Soffia, as well as Scintilating, the dam of Royal Ascot winner Fairy Godmother.
Further notable matings include Emulous, the dam of Bluestocking, returning to Camelot in hope of producing a full sibling to her Arc-winning daughter, whilst Time Chaser, the dam of Time Lock, will return to Frankel.
Additional high-profile matings for 2024 stakes-producing mares include Pavlosk (dam of G1 winner Babouche) visiting Frankel, Obligate (dam of Lead Artist) visiting Too Darn Hot, Shared Account (dam of three stakes winners, including Better Together) visiting Lope De Vega and Fount (dam of Apollo Fountain) visiting Blue Point alongside Group-winning sprinter Sacred Bridge.
Other key matings for Group winners or producers include:
- Lucky Kristale to Charyn
- Haskoy to Dubawi
- Natavia (dam of Haskoy) to Lope De Vega
- Exemplify and Pocket Square to Mehmas
- Gaining to New Bay (to produce a sibling to the unbeaten French colt New Ground)
- Acanella to Night Of Thunder
- Joyeuse to No Nay Never (to produce a full sibling to Group-winning two-year-old Array)
- Romantica to Study Of Man
- Sun Maiden to Too Darn Hot
- Quadrilateral to Wootton Bassett, who will also cover Chiasma, Frankel’s sister
In his second season at stud, Chaldean will be introduced to some of Juddmonte’s most proven broodmares, including G1 producers Kilo Alpha (dam of Juliet Foxtrot), Nimble Thimble (dam of Quadrilateral), Sacred Shield (dam of Viadera), Scuffle (dam of Logician) and Sleep Walk (dam of Whitebeam). He will also cover Group producers Flare Of Firelight and Principal Role, alongside Group winners Announce, Grand Jete and Suffused.
